By downloading, installing, or using Speechify Me ("the App," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
Description of Service
Speechify Me is a text-to-speech application that converts written text into natural-sounding audio. The App offers various voices, languages, and customization options to enhance your listening experience.
License to Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on your iOS device for your personal, non-commercial use.
License Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks
- Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
- Use the App to create competing products or services
- Share your account or access with others
User Accounts and Registration
While the App may not require an account for basic use, certain features may require registration or in-app purchases. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.

Speechify Me offers a one-time Pro upgrade purchase at $3.99 that unlocks premium features including:
- Access to 100+ premium voices
- All input methods (text, scan, document)
- High-quality audio generation
- Unlimited conversions
- Karaoke-style subtitles
- Export audio and SRT files
- Priority support
- Ad-free experience
Payment and Billing
All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. By making a purchase, you agree to Apple's Terms of Service and payment terms. All purchases are non-refundable except as required by law or as specified in Apple's refund policy.
Refunds
Refund requests must be made through the Apple App Store. We do not directly process refunds. Please refer to Apple's refund policy for more information.
User Content
Your Content
You retain all rights to the text content you input into the App. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your text content solely for the purpose of generating audio output.
Content Restrictions
You agree not to use the App to create or distribute content that:
- Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or hateful
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Contains viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Impersonates any person or entity
- Violates any applicable laws or regulations
- Promotes illegal activities or violence
Intellectual Property
The App, including all content, features, functionality, and design, is owned by Speechify Me and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
The generated audio files are provided for your personal use. You may not use the generated audio for commercial purposes without proper licensing of the underlying text-to-speech technology.
Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party text-to-speech APIs (Edge TTS) and other services. Your use of these services through our App is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of third-party services.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable
- The quality of any audio generated will meet your expectations
- Any errors or defects will be corrected
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SPEECHIFY ME, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the App
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
- Any bugs, viruses, or harmful code transmitted through the App
- Any content or conduct of any third party
- Any errors or omissions in content
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Speechify Me and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Your content or conduct
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any purchases.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which our company is registered, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the jurisdiction's arbitration association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Speechify Me regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
